Britefire gives back

Britefire is delighted to have contributed to our local community by sponsoring the design and creation of the Hout Bay Neighbourhood Watch website. Being a corporate citizen is one of the values that we cherish in Britefire, and we are glad to have been able to apply our skills and talents to give back.                           

The Hout Bay Neighbourhood Watch is a closely knit local community run by residents working hard to keep Hout Bay safe and secure through communication and co-operation. In creating the website, we strove to develop something that the members would find easy and appealing to use. We also wanted to be upbeat about a subject that could be accompanied by negativity.

The project had to deal with the delicate topic of crime and security. In order to do this, we created a secure side of the site requiring login, where sensitive and detailed information can be shared within a secure environment with members of the community.

The site has already been welcomed and received positive comments, the number of members has grown, and the site looks like it is going to be an integral tool to serve the very real needs of Hout Bay.
